Prerequisites

The final project and assignments will be based on product ideas from students in the class. As a prerequisite, students should think of a target customer, and pick a problem the customer would find highly valuable if solved. They should be able to articulate this in a 30-second “elevator pitch”. It is also possible to join another team for those who do not have an existing idea. Please email the instructor if you need help or clarification on this.

Methodology

We will use a combination of lectures, workshops, team work, team coaching, discussions and assignments that will lead to a final product presentation. The course will present plenty of opportunity to experience working as part of an empowered, cross-functional Product team taking a product from discovery to adoption.

Students’ own existing product/business ideas will form the basis of assignments and the final project presentation.

Grading

The final grade will be composed of the following criteria:
40% - Participation and teamwork
20% - Assignments
40% - Final project presentation
