The format for this class will be a mix of lectures, workshops, student presentations, and critique.
This course is for students who want to explore a wide variety of interaction design projects, from large-scale holistic design systems to micro-interactions. Students will walk away from this class with a foundational understanding of interaction design and the history of the field, while also putting those concepts into action in the form of tangible designs and prototypes.
There will be themes per lecture and discussion, with a correlating project. There will be in-class workshops as well as projects assigned for outside class time.
Jaclyn is a designer working across visual design, user experience, interface design, and design direction for a variety of interactive mediums (websites, products, tools, games) over the past decade.
She’s a multidisciplinary-multitasker type: passionate for solving complex problems through design strategy and craftsmanship as a design lead, leading a team of designers as design director, or teaching the art of interaction design to college students as a professor.
