Overview

The Banking and Financial Industry are ubiquitous in every part of the world. Customers therefore have plenty of choices to choose from the services which meet their needs and desires. As a result, banking and financial service providers are looking for new opportunities to get market share, expand their business, and reduce costs. Innovations have now played an important role in achieving the ultimate goal of both customers and business. In this course, students will learn the foundation of innovation design to obtain both understanding and practical skills to research, ideate and design new innovations for banking and other financial services.

Head of Research & Design Strategy (Strategy & Innovation) at AXONS (CPF IT)

Pornpong Soponsakulrat is a Human-Computer Interaction researcher and an art archeologist with an interest in innovation development.

He is currently Head of Research & Design Strategy (Strategy & Innovation) at AXONS (CPF IT), in which he is responsible for transforming the organisation to conduct strategic research and design processes to achieve innovations. Prior to joining CPF, he was a Human-Computer Interaction researcher at a FinTech Company and a consultant for a bank in Thailand respectively. He has extensive experience in innovation design for banking, insurance, and financial sectors, with more than five years of professional journey in those areas. In addition, he also has experiences in a variety of fields, from joining an artificial intelligence startup company to one of the most well-known entertainment public companies in Thailand. With regards to academic area, He is also a guest lecturer at Chulalongkorn University (Bangkok, Thailand) and guest speaker for state enterprises and various companies.
