Eugene Noh

Strategic advisor at KAIST Holdings

Faculty Profile

Over the past 12 years, Eugene Noh has built and launched deep tech startups across Silicon Valley and Asia. He currently serves as a strategic advisor to KAIST Holdings in South Korea and supports deep tech startups in expanding into Southeast Asia and the United States. Beyond Korea, he teaches deep tech commercialisation for the Thai government and delivers Lean Startup training in Singapore.

Eugene served as Deputy Director at NUS Enterprise from 2020 to 2023, where he led the National Lean LaunchPad programme, supported by the National Research Foundation. In this role, he trained academic researchers from NUS, NTU, SUTD, and SMU to commercialise their research.

Prior to joining NUS, Eugene spent seven years at UC Berkeley (2013–2020), where he played a key role in developing the startup ecosystem during a formative period. He most recently served as Programme Director of the Bay Area NSF I-Corps Node, where he trained over 400 regional teams and more than 70 national teams. Earlier, he managed the CITRIS Foundry, a deep tech accelerator supporting university spinouts.

Throughout his career, Eugene has been a frequent speaker at leading universities in Korea and has delivered entrepreneurship training to universities in the Philippines through the United Nations Development Programme.
