The Digital Marketing Bachelor’s programme is an intensive and hands-on degree that gives students the skills they need to successfully position a product or service in today’s over-saturated sea of communications.

Upon completing our programme, you will become a digital marketing professional. You will be well-prepared to work in a sales or marketing department of a major brand, in an advertising agency, or in a media or technological company. You will know how to help brands to communicate effectively with their target audiences using the awesome benefits that emerging online technologies have brought to the world.

In the first year, students are immersed in business essentials, in order to absorb the context in which marketing professionals operate. Students will work through solid core courses in general management, economics, accounting, finance, business strategy and law. As they build their foundational knowledge, business vocabulary, hone new competencies and forge ties, the huge need for marketing in business and its central role becomes clear.

In the second year students are introduced to marketing fundamentals. They learn about core principles and recent phenomena, while they will gain strategic and analytical skills. The objectives of this academic year are to demonstrate the role of marketing within business; to understand the core differences between traditional and digital marketing; to learn the instruments and methods of effective digital marketing; to explore the relationship of marketing with other segments within a business and chiefly - to demonstrate how effective marketing can create value for customers.

Immersive workshops by leading international professionals will give students a taste of their future professional environments and allow them to form their own ideas about digital marketing. While this year contains a lot of new knowledge, students are challenged to apply their newly acquired skills and learnings during their first client project.

In the third year, students will primarily focus on deepening their specialised knowledge of digital marketing methods and instruments gathered throughout the first two years of the programme. In this final year students gain the theoretical and applied background to plan, design, execute, evaluate, and oversee highly effective marketing strategies and become qualified for positions in sales, marketing research or marketing management. In order to prepare students for a transition to real world careers, special emphasis is placed on developing student’s abilities in effective professional communication, sales and presentation skills, negotiation and leadership. A significant amount of time will be dedicated to the personal Capstone project, which may be executed for a client or in the form of their own business endeavour.

All courses are electives, yet we strongly recommend students to take courses marked as core. ANNA ZNAMENSKAYA
Faculty Leader Digital Marketing

Anna Znamenskaya is an online entrepreneur extraordinaire. She is a Chief Digital Officer of Mindshare Russia and a well-known Russian internet executive and entrepreneur. As Chief Revenue Officer of Rambler (a huge Russian internet portal) in 2008, she generated over $110 million in annual sales and consolidated numerous strategic partnerships with companies like Microsoft, AOL, Blinkx.

As a CEO and cofounder she created ivi.ru – one of the biggest and most famous online video portals in Russia that reached a valuation of $150 million within 3 years of launch. She created the first Russian RTB platform in web and mobile for online retail bank Tinkoff Bank. Anna was mentioned as one of the top 10 Russian internet entrepreneurs according to Venture Village and The Moscow Times for her start-up: workingmama.ru. She graduated in 2012 from IE Business School in Madrid with Master’s in Digital Marketing degree. As Faculty Leader of Digital Marketing at Harbour.Space University she intends to encourage students to become truly global digital professionals in one of the most interesting and innovative fields today.

  • Junior Digital Manager
    A digital marketing manager is often part of a Digital Marketing and Analytics team. Combining digital and online techniques and analysis, the DM’s job consists of generating and qualifying leads, communicating with customers and brand building, and creating and maintaining metrics reports on marketing and sales activities, effectiveness, and business impact.
  • Social Media Manager
    A social media manager has in-depth knowledge of social media platforms, their participants and deployment potential. They execute social media marketing campaigns and activities to achieve growth of reach, engagement, leads and sales. Social media management requires creativity, analytical abilities, writing and design skills, proficiency in marketing automation technology, attention to detail, experience with WordPress, and SEO competencies including keyword research.
  • Email Marketing Manager
    The email marketing manager’s role is to craft great email copy and to make sure emails are CAN-SPAM compliant, are optimised for mobile devices, nail timing and frequency, and are organised according to segmentation and personalisation strategy and they deploy analytics to optimise clickthroughs and engagement.
  • E-commerce and CRM Manager
    The e-commerce and CRM manager works for a brand that sells their products and services online. They monitor their respective companies' ecommerce strategies, which includes organisation and people management. Responsibilities include budget management and providing status reports, elaborating CRM strategy and to controlling conversions and KPIs.
  • Digital Media Planner/Buyer
    A digital media planner or buyer works with strategists to develop a winning digital strategy for the company. They create trusted relationships with clients as the digital expert. They supervise campaign implementation and ensure efficient organisation, as well as making a post-campaign analysis. They’re a great negotiator, know paid marketing channels and technologies and possess strong communication skills that solidify client relationships.
  • Head of Digital/ Chief Digital Officer
    The head of digital leads and manages a digital marketing team and ensures that the company delivers progressive digital campaigns. They develop new digital strategies to engage customers and they provide insight into emerging digital marketing trends and innovation to promote the brand. The head of digital is an expert in campaign strategy, online planning and buying, managing technical aspects of marketing systems (marketing automation, CRM) They’re great communicators and a confident and gifted as decision makers.
  • As a Marketing manager, you are a fully dedicated business leader, shaping the future of our many Google products. Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (AdWords, AdSense, DoubleClick, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey.
  • Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shapes how new and existing business grow. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a loyal consumer base.
  • As a Programmatic Account Manager, you will work with advertising agencies, trading desks on exchanging knowledge to educate, onboard and advise clients on a proprietary programmatic buying platform, enabling them to be self sufficient and scale their business.
