What Happens if Your Professor is Also a Master Practitioner?

Harbour.Space doesn’t hire typical lecturers — we ask to teach investors and leaders who shared with our students what they’re doing right now, in real time.

Think serial entrepreneur and venture catalyst Kamran Elahian; board- and company-CEO Pierre-Pascal Urbon; investor-founder Stéphanie Hospital; Mike Butcher - Editor-at-large of TechCrunch, a writer, editor, interviewer, moderator and columnist in the tech media and has written for UK national newspapers and magazines including The Financial Times, The Guardian, The Times, The Daily Telegraph and The New Statesman; he has also advised the UK Prime Minister and the Mayor of London on tech startup policy.

Each one leads companies, funds, or boards — and then walks into our classrooms to teach exactly what they practice.

The surnames on our Harbour.Space class schedule are the same ones you’ll see on Global MediaTech Pitch Day badges — and in the official company registries and shareholder lists that show who actually owns a business.

You can literally trace the same surnames across three independent sources:

  • Schedule → our public 2025–2026 timetable lists their modules;
  • Faculty pages → their practitioner bios;
  • Pitch Day materials → the official agenda/booklet showing them on stage as jurors and panellists at the Global MediaTech Pitch Day in Barcelona 2025.

What Is Global Mediatech Pitch Day?

It’s a high-stakes, invite-only showcase where eight startups pitch for up to €3,000,000 in potential funding and a €10,000 best-pitch prize, before a panel of investors and industry leaders, hosted in Barcelona’s startup hub. Our faculty and CEO serve as jurors and panelists - and bring those fresh, field-tested insights straight back to Harbour.Space.

That triangulation is the point: the people teaching our students are the same people judging the global startups and running companies.

What If Your References Weren’t Names on a Syllabus, but the Companies Our Instructors Lead and Grow?

You might see similar course titles at top universities elsewhere. What you won’t see is who is in the room. At Harbour.Space, courses like “Shaping Tomorrow’s Business Leaders” and “From Zero to Hero” are taught by seasoned practitioners — the people building today’s market, people who actively do the job in the real world, ship products, close deals, lead teams, make (and fixe) mistakes, and bring that lived expertise into class — turning live cases into the skills and mindset you’ll use next.
