Product strategy provides a blueprint for building, marketing, and scaling products that deliver enduring value. In today’s highly technology-driven world, especially with the exponential rise of AI, a well-defined strategy is more critical than ever for aligning diverse stakeholders and navigating complexity.
Tailored for early- to mid-career professionals, this immersive 3-week course explores core principles of product strategy and emphasizes real-world application through hands-on assignments and group work. Topics include crafting differentiated value propositions, achieving product-market fit, designing go-to-market strategies, focusing on critical product and business analytics, and integrating organizational and ecosystem dynamics into decision-making. While not a technical course, we will strongly bias discussions, examples, and projects toward the transformative impact of AI across product development, go-to-market motions, and strategic thinking.
With a startup-centric lens, the program underscores the importance of a holistic approach—spanning product, business, technology, and operational levers. A capstone group project anchors the learning experience, equipping students to confidently shape and execute product strategies in today’s fast-changing, AI-infused world.

While there are no specific prerequisites, students should lean on and share their prior corporate, entrepreneurial, and leadership experience. The course will encourage and challenge the students to use not just hard skills like critical thinking and deep analysis but also soft skills such as adaptability, a learning mindset, and multicultural leadership.
The course is designed to balance individual work and deep collaboration with peers. In addition, the course will be interspersed with opportunities for stimulating in-class and out-of-class debates and engagement. We will accomplish this through the following:
Lectures, including in-class workshops, Individual work: long-form product strategy document, Site visit: to a local startup, Interaction and engagement: through in- and out-of-class participation and case study discussions, Capstone group project: long-form product strategy document and live presentation
Every student has a different starting point and a unique learning style. During these three weeks, we will not be competing against or judging each other. Instead, the goal is to build our own competence and confidence while learning from a diverse and talented class.
