Through a combination of personal reflection, practical exercises, and the strategic use of digital and real-life communication tools, this course equips you with the ability to present yourself, your ideas, and your work with authenticity and integrity. Prerequisites

An overall intention to improve communication skills, a big sense of nervousness about speaking in front of other people, and a tiny bit of curiosity for performative arts.

Methodology

The course combines practical exercises focused on individuals as well as group projects, addressing various communication skills. Lectures provide foundational knowledge, supported by online resources including ChatGPT, YouTube, and apps like Time Your Script or Voice Notebook, to enhance the learning experience.

The teaching method focuses on encouraging self-reflection in students, supported by open and constructive peer-to-peer feedback as well as mentorship from instructors. This approach allows for a range of learning preferences and different starting levels of knowledge, accommodating both beginners and advanced learners.

Grading

The final grade will be composed of the following criteria:
30% - Presentations
30% - Written assignments
40% - Engagement (Class contributions and peer-to-peer feedback)
