Overview

WealthTech is one of the key elements of the FinTech landscape. Thinking about FinTech in general as a technology that disrupts traditional players like banks, WealthTech targets the second largest source of banking revenues – Savings and Investments (which are way ahead of payments – a typical target for first FinTech start-ups like PayPal). What’s even more important, every person faces issues of their wealth management and knowing how to deal with them properly will help to avoid painful mistakes.

Learning highlights

  • After the course, students will have an understanding of the WealthTech global landscape, key business models and strategies employed, as well as the underlying methodologies that get automated through the use of IT technology.
  • In particular, students will know how the financial market works in practice, how investment portfolios are built and managed, which key players provide wealth management services to their clients, and how new technologies may disrupt this segment.
