Overview

Mind and body in Chinese Cultural Traditions: An Introduction to the Shaolin Way of Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Qi Gong Martial Arts, and Meditation.

In this course, students will learn a mixture of traditional and modern Shaolin martial arts during the three-hour daily course.

Learning highlights

  • Students will learn concepts of Chinese culture and philosophy that led to the original creation of these martial arts.
  • The course is structured to provide a well-rounded experience of physical and mental cultivation. Students will learn to enhance their focus, concentration, and awareness while strengthening their body, increasing their flexibility, and boosting their immune system.

Each class will require physical work, followed by meditation at the end of each class.

Grading

The final grade will be composed of the following criteria:
30% - Theory
70% - Martial art forms

34th Generation Shaolin Warrior Monk with a level 6 black belt and over 18 years of experience. A master in over 16 different forms and techniques of Shaolin Kung Fu, including, Eagle, Tiger, Monkey, Crane, Spear, Staff, and Sword. Awarded title of champion, and rated number 1 in China at the age of 18. Tai Chi and Qi Gong Master.

Yes. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate signed by the director of the program your course belonged to.
