Skills you’ll learn
You’ve learned the scrappy process of hacking an MVP, finding leads, and going to the market on your first ideas. You’ve tested your product strategy, started working on financial modelling and got a taste of life as an entrepreneur. You’re living the dream life, until reality hits you: entrepreneurship is not glamorous. Going from Zero to Hero is the easy part, but now you’re faced with a product or with ideas that need pivoting, or need to handle unhappy customers, leaky customer acquisition, or investor apathy during a recession and you are burning cash.
You are tired, your team is unhappy and the best candidates are moving on to join big corporations and tech companies, not your startup. The glamour and shine of entrepreneurship has faded, now real life kicks in and you realise that entrepreneurship is a relentless, high stakes and high pressure marathon not a sprint. You are facing your biggest test as a Harbour Space founder: are you a real founder and leader? Do you have what it takes to build a world class product and team? Can you sell and close your investment? Can you team the competition from across? And is entrepreneurship right for you?
In this module, we’ll take the gloves off and get you in the ring with seasoned veterans where we will kill every startup myth, every sacred cow, and give you an authentic taste of what it really feels like deep in the trenches of startup life.
