Sergey Shedov has obtained three degrees including one at Oxford University and speaks English and Spanish.
Sergey Shedov is an EdTech social entrepreneur who aims to make high-quality computer science education accessible to children and young professionals in developing regions such as Asia, Eastern Europe and Latin America. He has developed a proprietary AI-driven educational platform that personalizes learning pathways, analyzes student performance data, and provides teachers with actionable insights to identify learning gaps and address them effectively.
In 2001, he founded the Moscow Programming School, which became a leading IT school, having trained over 70,000 children. It got wide recognition in the educational field and strong support from the IT sector, including a joint venture with Yandex. His students earned 100+ medals at national and international Olympiads (IOI, ICPC, WRO).
From 2021, Sergey focused on promoting equal opportunities through education in developing countries outside Russia, launching SIT Programming School in Serbia and Vietnam. These programs now serve over 1,300 students and are expanding to developing regions in Latin America to bridge the digital divide and create pathways to economic opportunity.
