Patrcia Galea is a global marketing executive, startup advisor, and celebrated UCLA adj. professor.
For the past 25 years, Patricia has led digital marketing and advertising strategy for the world’s most innovative startups and rocketship brands such as Amazon, Disney, Spotify, Lexus, Hulu, Honda, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Nintendo, Nestle, Converse, AI SaaS BtoB and many more.
She began her career at Accenture as a tech consultant then spent years at top tier global marketing firms in LA, San Francisco and New York (Omnicom, Publicis, WPP, Edelman, IPG) and client side executive roles at Disney, UCLA and Draiver (AI powered BtoB SaaS). She recently headed up the US Performance Marketing practice for IPG Mediabrands, overseeing data driven digital advertising for clients such as Amazon, Nintendo, Sony, Converse, Spotify and other brands.
Patricia’s expertise is in digital marketing strategy across the entire funnel - from brand awareness to sales - using paid, earned and owned media channels that are powered by data, technology and big ideas.
Patricia began teaching at UCLA in 2005 where she co-founded the digital marketing curriculum and continues to guest lecture about the ever changing media and technology landscape. Her digital advertising course became the most popular marketing course at UCLA. With passion and energy, she’s taught over a thousand students at UCLA -- from professionals to MBA students to corporate leaders from around the world who travel to UCLA for custom training programs.
Recognized as a dynamic and dedicated instructor, Patricia brings real-world knowledge and wisdom to the classroom so that students enjoy the learning journey and can easily apply lessons to their own marketing campaigns.
Patricia holds a B.A. in Economics from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She resides in Los Angeles with her husband and family. You can find her at the Coachella music festival every April.
