Faculty Profile

Nikolay graduated from Nizhny Novgorod State University in 2020 and earned his PhD from Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg in 2024. During his school and university years, he successfully participated in various programming competitions, winning two gold medals at the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) and becoming the World Champion in the International Collegiate Programming Contest in 2020.

Nikolay's primary research interests lie in the fields of nonlinear laser optics and quantum light. His work spans both experimental and theoretical research. Since 2016, he has also been a Coordinator at Codeforces, the world’s largest competitive programming community.
