Faculty Profile
Anish has been working in the field of security and cryptography for the last two decades, both as a researcher and a consultant.
Over the past seven years he has become more involved in the Blockchain ecosystem as one of the founding members of the United Kingdom Digital Currency Association (UKDCA). He has advised and worked for various banks and financial institutions including AIB, HSBC, Lloyds and Zurich. He was also an early advisor to Ripple and spends his spare time on the Ethereum Swarm project.
His main focus is currently to work on projects involving security, scalability and consensus of blockchains, using smart contracts for AI safety, crypto economics, and token engineering, including the design of over a dozen blockchain protocols. Anish is a regular speaker who has given more than a hundred talks in the areas of AI, cybersecurity, fintech and blockchain and contributor to Venturebeat and CNN. He regularly gives lectures at graduate courses on topics including Blockchain, AI and Cybersecurity at CMU, UCL, Imperial and SRH Berlin. Anish is the co-founder of Ethicnet, CEO of Ztrade and the head of research at the Information Sciences Institute at SRH Berlin.
