
Vladimir Dashchenko
Faculty Profile
Vladimir Dashchenko is a VP, Threat Intelligence at DeNexus. Previously he used to work as a vulnerability research team leader in Kaspersky’s Industrial Control Systems Cyber Emergency Response Team (ICS CERT).
Vladimir holds a degree in information security of telecommunication systems from the Ural State Technical University. He started his career as a security engineer at Russian Federal Space Agency. Today his research interests include threat intelligence, vulnerability research, analysis and detection, ICS security, security audits, security of different everyday ‘smart devices’, such as smart toys, TVs, smart city infrastructure. Currently his main responsibilities are implementing Threat Intelligence results into products, providing Threat Intelligence reports, and hunting new unknown malware targeting industrial companies. He is also a proud member of the BEER-ISAC community. Vladimir is also a regular speaker at various security conferences, such as SAS, CS3STHLM, Zeronights, OffZone, Positive Hack Days, Bsides etc..
