Faculty Profile

Based in California, Felipe Mahalem is a Brazilian motion designer and animator with more than 20 years of experience working with interactive media, visual effects and digital advertising. Felipe has a background in graphic design and coding that turned into a passion for motion design and animation. Working closely with creative teams, he has created highly awarded projects for a number of global brands like Google, Reddit, Youtube, Nike and Slack. He has won the Grand Prix Cannes Lions, the Gold Cannes Lions, Grand LIA, D&AD Graphite Pencil, and the One Show Gold Pencil, among others recognitions.

He is currently working as an Associate Creative Director for Motion Graphics at R/GA California, along with a network of R/GA Studios across North and South America.
