AI in STEM Education: What Should We Teach, and How?
Join us for the second meetup in our AI in STEM Education discussion series, where we will move from identifying the challenges AI brings to education to exploring how STEM education should evolve in response. The event will take place on Thursday, July 30th.

About the Event
At our first discussion, we looked at AI in education through the perspectives of educators, industry professionals, and students. We explored how AI is changing teaching, learning, assessment, and workplace expectations.
This time, we will build on those conversations and focus on a more practical question:
How should we redesign STEM education to prepare students for an AI-driven world? Which knowledge and skills remain fundamental? How should curricula evolve as AI takes over more technical work? What role should mathematics, software development, and systems thinking play? And how should teaching and assessment change to foster critical thinking, engineering judgment, curiosity, and independent problem-solving rather than dependence on AI?
This meetup is an opportunity for educators, students, and industry professionals to exchange ideas, challenge assumptions, and discuss practical approaches to designing curricula and teaching methods that prepare students for the realities of AI-assisted learning and work.
The discussion will feature perspectives from Anastasiia Poliakova, Nikolay Golov, Maksym Prokopov, and Ilia Mogilev, followed by lightning talks and an open discussion between all participants.
