Join our informal discussion on how AI is reshaping STEM training and academia — from teaching methods and coursework to student expectations and future career paths. The event will take place on Tuesday, June 2nd.
Format: Meetup on campus + remote participation for non-local participants

AI tools have rapidly become part of everyday academic life: students use them for learning, coding, and sometimes cheating. Instructors experiment with AI while preparing materials, designing courses, and grading assignments. Industry expectations around skills and hiring are evolving just as quickly.
What does effective learning with AI look like? How can instructors integrate AI into teaching? Which skills are more valuable — and which are becoming obsolete?
This meetup is an opportunity for educators and industry professionals to openly discuss these shifts and better understand how education can and should adapt for the maximum benefit of students.
The discussion will feature perspectives from Maksym Prokopov, Nico Deblauwe, Sergey Gordeychik and Carlos Mota, as well as other experts from across science and industry. Alongside the main talks, there will be plenty of space for open conversation between participants.
