Overview
This is a practical look at persuasive writing techniques to generate leads and sales. It will include the research and target market knowledge you need to write compelling content that gets attention and converts. The module also covers specific writing techniques for headlines, calls-to-action, editing, using active language and more. It covers sales psychology, and how that translates into the written word, including how emotion plays a part in copywriting, and how to use it ethically and authentically in your marketing copy. The module focuses on writing conversion copy. This is copy for email marketing, landing pages and sales pages where the goal is to supports the business by generating enquiries or sales.

Prerequisites
This course is one of three in a wholistic series.
Students that have already taken MSL-111 and those with prior experience with HTML, CSS, and Javascript building simple web pages will be good candidates for this module.
Amy Harrison is a copywriter, content trainer and owner of Write With Influence: an online resource that helps business owners write better marketing content faster and easier.
She originally trained as a screenwriter before moving into business storytelling - pulling out the compelling details of companies to build a bridge between their services and customer needs. She has talked on the subject of copywriting and the customer perspective at conversion and marketing conferences in the US, Canada and throughout Europe. She also works as a content consultant for companies within the financial, manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries.
