Overview

Every startup business needs to get media coverage when they are trying to win users and customers. The challenge is to understand the best way to approach the media, not just with PR, but with stories that will interest them. How do you do that? This course is about the process of positioning you and your company in a way that will work for the media and your business.

Methodology

We will use a combination of lectures, in-class discussion, one-on-one coaching, and assignments that lead to a final project presentation. Students’ own ideas will form the basis of assignments and the final project presentation.

Grading

The final grade will be composed of the following criteria:
50% - Participation/dedication
20% - Assignments and implementation
30% - Final presentation

Yes. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate signed by the director of the program your course belonged to.
