Overview

“Developer” is a very generic term with many underlying meanings. As a person having computer science and algorithmics skills, one can fell both curious and lost in front of the large variety of aspects to manage at work, from software engineer to CTO. What do you want to build in IT? And how to make your technology impactful? This course is about discovering the world of IT and understanding how technology should contribute to you and your company.

Prerequisites

For this course, a basic understanding of programming will be required. And having infrastructure and/or non-technical experience should be a plus.

Methodology

The course will use a combination of lectures, in-class discussion, one-on-one coaching, and assignments that lead to a final project presentation. Final project is about “Being the CTO of your project” and will form the basis of the assignments that will vary following the students’ projects

Grading

The final grade will be composed of the following criteria:
50% - Final Project
30% - Participation
20% - Homework

Co-founder and CTO of Cantoo

Romain Untereiner is Co-founder and CTO of Cantoo, the next European telecommunication operator. He is a passionate and curious person, interested in everything on our planet and beyond. Telecom engineer and science lover by trade, graduated from Télécom SudParis, he has been into new technologies, design and programming since the age of 10. More than anything, he loves to learn and build things with people regardless of the field. Through his diverse experiences as developer, DevOps, architect or CTO, he got a deep and global understanding of the entrepreneurship ecosystem as well as a broad perspective of new technologies and IT in the real world.
