
Marybeth Sandell
Faculty Profile
Marybeth brings experience in storytelling management for print, digital, television and radio to students at Harbour.Space. She is passionate about developing and transferring skills to real jobs and helping students navigate a rapidly changing field of media, marketing, PR and communications.
She has taught classes include Feature Writing, Investigative Journalism, Web Storytelling and Mass Communications at the University of North Carolina. Her teaching is based on extensive work in multiple leadership and entrepreneurial roles at Bloomberg in Stockholm, London, Zurich, Washington D.C. and New York. At Bloomberg, her positions included managing content teams, standards training, internal and external communications and leading projects to create visual stories for print, web, TV and radio.
She currently advises multinational companies and charities in locations such as Mumbai, Stockholm, London and New York regarding their internal and external content and storytelling strategies. She also serves on a number of boards, from start-ups to charities.
Her work is driven by curiosity and a desire to simplify data-based concepts into memorable storytelling.
