Tech Scouts Summer Camp

Located in the creative, globally admired hub of Barcelona, Spain, Harbour.Space University took shape based on three fundamental pillars:

Those elements gave birth to the perfect conditions for co-creators from all around the world to connect, learn, collaborate and innovate. To meet this challenge, the programs at Harbour.Space University are offered in English by international industry leaders. 

Harbour.Space University is shaping the future of education with its new and unconventional twist on how students can learn. One of Harbour.Space projects is Tech Scouts, an international accelerated summer camp. Through this project, Harbour.Space focuses on training the next generation of young entrepreneurs and tech lovers to become the creative, purpose-driven and conscious leaders of the future.

TechScouts is the first-ever accelerated summer camp to specialize in developing math, computer science, design and entrepreneurship skills to tackle challenges of the future. This year is the third annual TechScouts camp and the theme is inspired by the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals for 2030. 

The United Nations adopted the SDG agenda. Since 2015, they have developed hundreds of partnerships for each of the 17 goals in place for 2030. They aim to envision peace and prosperity for the world to have zero hunger, good health, quality education and gender equality - to name a few. 

Mentored by top industry leaders in design, marketing, business, and technology; students between 12 to 18 years old will be challenged to come up with creative solutions for the UN’s outlined SDG's for 2030. During the two weeks, students also learn how to apply key math, design, coding, and leadership skills to real-world experiences. They also gain the confidence and knowledge needed to start preparing for the jobs of the future. 

When reimagining what 2030 looks like, the world needs energy, drive, and innovation of the youth to help co-create a better tomorrow. That’s why TechScout students partake in an in-depth journey through hands-on accelerated learning experiences. They go through the process of design thinking to develop solutions, ideas, projects and startups that contribute to a better, more sustainable world by 2030. 

By inviting students into the conversation and providing them with the necessary tools, TechScouts aims to inspire, create and shape leaders for the world.

Whether you’re a creative spirit or have more of a technical mindset, TechScouts provides a path for all individuals at every level. 

The Creative Path is for students who see inspiration and desire to inspire others through various forms of innovation and design. This path breaks down into two sections - beginner and advanced. 

The beginner creative track is for those who wish to explore different disciplines and learn more about design, communication, and entrepreneurship. Through this, the student will learn how to apply critical skills to real-world problems. However, the advanced creative track is designed for changemakers who wish to deepen their knowledge. As well as, expand their horizons and further develop the skills needed to excel in their future job. 

The Technical Path is for students who eat, sleep and breathe problem-solving in various forms. The path is for those who are interested in exploring trends in technology and experimenting with cutting-edge tools in hardware and software. 

The technical path has three tracks to choose from. The beginner track is about learning the main strategies of problem-solving. The intermediate track is shaped to improve a student’s knowledge of Mathematics and Computer Science. Lastly, the advanced track is for individuals looking to deepen and perfect their skills. 

TechScouts creates a life-long learning environment. Through their experience, students discover their potential for college life, deepen skills, understand different career paths, enhance self-confidence, and learn about megatrends. Lastly, learn how to feel comfortable when pitching in front of a panel of industry leaders. 

By the end of TechScouts, creative and technical track students use their newly learned crucial skills and come together to develop an idea for tackling the challenges of the future. By learning and interacting, they will also be inspired by what the future holds. All while having fun with other creative tech superstars.
