Meeting Future Innovators at Saló De L’ensenyament
There's a particular kind of energy at an education fair. Thousands of students, some with a clear plan, others with nothing but an open mind and a willingness to figure it out, walking through stands, collecting brochures, asking questions they've probably been sitting on for months. Last week, Harbour.Space was right in the middle of it.

What Is Saló De L'ensenyament?
Saló de l'Ensenyament is one of Barcelona's largest and most established education fairs, bringing together universities, vocational schools, students, and families every year to explore what comes next. It's the kind of event where futures start taking shape, where a conversation with the right person at the right moment can completely change the direction of a young person's life.
For us, showing up here isn't just a marketing exercise. It's a genuine opportunity to meet the people we exist for.
The Students We Met
What struck me most was the range. Some students came to our stand knowing exactly what they wanted: they'd researched programmes, had specific questions about curriculum and career outcomes, and were ready to go deep. Others arrived curious but uncertain, still weighing whether tech or design was really their path, still figuring out what kind of future they were actually building towards.
And then there were the parents. Present, attentive, asking the questions their children sometimes didn't know how to ask yet. Because choosing a university isn't just a personal decision. For many families, it's a shared one, and the weight of it is real.
We spoke with all of them. We played coding games, had coffee, talked about technology, design, innovation, and what the industry actually looks like from the inside. Some conversations lasted five minutes. Others went on for hours.
Why This Decision Is so Hard, and Why That's Okay
Choosing where to study is one of the most significant decisions a young person will make. It's not just about picking a subject. It's about choosing an environment, a community, a direction. It shapes skills, opens doors, and sets the tone for years of professional and personal growth.
The difficulty of that choice deserves to be taken seriously, not glossed over. What we try to do, at events like this and every day, is offer clarity where there's confusion, and honesty where there's pressure. Not every programme is right for every person, and we'd rather help someone find the right path than convince them that ours is the only one.
That said, if your path points toward tech, design, or data, and you’re looking for hands-on experience, we believe we have something genuinely worth exploring.
Every event like this reminds us why we care so deeply about this stage of a student's journey. The curiosity in the room is contagious. The openness of students who are still figuring things out, rather than pretending they already have it all sorted, is something we deeply respect.
It's a privilege to be part of that process, even in a small way.
Couldn't Make It? Come See Us on April 10th
If you didn't get the chance to visit our stand at the fair, the conversation doesn't have to end there. We're hosting an Open Day on April 10th at the Harbour.Space campus in Barcelona, a chance to meet our students and faculty in person, explore the space where learning actually happens, and get a real feel for the community you'd be joining.
Just an honest look at what we do and who we are.
Reserve your spot here, we'd love to see you there.
