Free Format Friday : Meet Aksel Kesenci
Hailing from Istanbul, Turkey, Aksel was always interested in fitness from a very young age. When it was time for college, Aksel moved all the way to Montreal, Canada to pursue his education in Business Administration and a sporting career in Rugby. This is when he really pushed into the art of fitness. This was when he crafted his rigorous schedule, jam-packed with multiple workouts, meal preps and lifestyle choices that impact his body. And during this process, he realised he needed an extra set of critiques and audience to keep him in check and a platform where he could provide tips and coaching on how to keep fit to the highest degree.
He is actively combining his skills as a marketer and a fitness guru, to turn something as unique as fitness into a successful business venture. Aksel, at Harbour.Space is currently working on his fitness blog and aims to provide reliable information from meal prep to fitness regimes to interested individuals on how they could turn their life around and better themselves as far as fitness is concerned.

. ⚔“Failing to plan is planning to fail.”⚔ ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ . ▪On Sundays and Thursdays, I take a 1-2 hours to prep for the next few days to save time and make sure that I stay on track throughout the week. . ▪Meal prepping ensures that I never miss out on a meal or cheat when I’m not supposed to, and that I eat at consistent hours everyday, usually every 3 hours. . ▪Just like everyone else, there is no way I can find time to cook proper meals several times a day. If you know me then you’ve seen me carry my meals everywhere I go. I've been asked multiple times how I meal prep. And I feel like many people think that it’s harder than it actually is… but really it's just a matter of planning ahead and managing your time properly. . ▪& no need to be a chef. I cook everything very simply and try to use condiments and spices that are low in sodium like; ✅Black pepper ✅Chili powder ✅Cumin ✅Ginger ✅Rosemary ✅Basil . ▪I use pam spray for now since im prepping for a competition, but i generally cook with avocado or coconut oil. . ▪Veggies are the fastest and easiest thing to cook… just 4 minutes in boiling water so it retains all its vitamins and nutrients. I find them better crunchy rather than mushy anyways. My go-to veggies: ✅Asparagus ✅Broccoli ✅Green beans ✅Pepper ✅Cauliflower ✅Brussel sprouts . ▪My protein always comes from lean sources like: ✅Chicken breast ✅Ground turkey ✅Tilapia ✅Salmon ✅Sole ✅Extra-lean ground beef ✅Filet mignon ✅Sirloin . ▪Carbs - This week i varied with; ✅Basmati rice ✅Baked sweet potatoes ✅Mashed potatoes . ...But there are so many other healthy options like; ✅Quinoa ✅Brown rice ✅Bulgur ✅Brown pasta ✅Wheat bread, preferably Ezekiel or any other sprouted bread because it’s easier to digest. . . ‼️TIPS‼️ ➖➖➖➖ ✳A food scale is a must to make sure you are eating the right mount . ✳Measure everything after its cooked . ✳Use parchment paper instead of aluminium when baking . ✳Buy containers to pack your meals so you can just grab-and-go . ✳Multitasking is key - Save yourself some time by cooking multiple things at the same time or cut your potatoes while your veggies are boiling for example . . #mealprep #mealprepsundays #howto Song by @kaytranada
