Summary

Attila Sali received his Ph.D. in mathematics at The Ohio State University, USA. He has also scientific degree Doctor of the Hungarian Academy. He is currently a scientific advisor at the Alfréd Rényi Institute of Mathematics, the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He is also part time associate professor at the Department of Computer Science, Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Attila is also teaching at The Budapest Semesters of Mathematics, a special institute accredited in the USA, having advanced level courses of mathematics for American students. Attila was awarded by The Alumni Association Award of the Ohio State University, and by Excellent Young Researcher Award of The Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

Attila was the secretary of the organizing committee of several large conferences, including Paul Erdős and his Mathematics 1996, EUROCOMB 2011, Erdős’100 2013. He was the chair of Program Committee of Foundations of Information and Knowledge Systems, 2012. He was also guest editor of several volumes of Discrete Mathematics, Electronic Notes of Discrete Mathematics, Annals of Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence.

Attila has more than 60 papers published in major international journals. His interest includes graph and hypergraph theory, with particular emphasis on extremal hypergraph problems. He has also several publications in algebraic combinatorics and theory of databases.
